Get ready for outrageous chaos, comedy, and a hell of a lot of explosive action in the highly anticipated adaptation of the best-selling video game Borderlands. This wild ride promises an adventure with eccentric characters, over-the-top weaponry, and plenty of humor.

During an appearance at the Corazon Film Festival over the weekend, Director Eli Roth (Hostel) revealed the new CCXP poster (below), giving fans a better look at the cast. He also shared an in-room-only exclusive clip, much to the delight of attendees. Hopefully, it will be shared soon.

Cate Blanchett leads the charge as Lilith, a legendary outlaw, returns to her troubled home world with a cryptic mission: find the missing daughter of Atlas, the galaxy’s most powerful (and ruthless) CEO. Joining her is a colorful crew of misfits. Each has their own motivations and quirks. Kevin Hart embodies Roland, a fallen soldier seeking redemption. Ariana Greenblatt brings the explosive energy of Tiny Tina, a pre-teen demolition expert with a love for mayhem. The imposing Florian Munteanu portrays Krieg, Tina’s loyal protector. And Jack Black lends his voice to the hilarious robot Claptrap. Jamie Lee Curtis adds gravitas as Tannis, a brilliant scientist on the brink of madness.

The Borderlands trailer hints at the film’s thrilling action sequences, from gun-slinging shootouts against bandit gangs to facing monstrous alien creatures. Roth’s signature dark humor shines through, promising laugh-out-loud moments amidst the chaos. But beyond the explosions and gunfire, the trailer hints at a deeper theme: unlikely heroes banding together for a greater cause. This motley crew may be dysfunctional, but their bond could be the key to saving the missing girl. And possibly saving the entire universe.

Mark your calendars for August 9th, when Borderlands opens in theaters and watch the hit game come to life.
