Kristen Stewart, best known for her role in the Twilight franchise, is gearing up to bare her fangs once again, this time in Flesh of the Gods, from Mandy director Panataos Cosmatos and Se7en writer Andrew Kevin Walker.

Oscar Isaac, of Ex Machina and “MoonKnight,” will star opposite Stewart. The two will play Raoul and Alex, a “married couple in glittering ’80s L.A. who descend each evening from their luxury skyscraper condo and head into an electric nighttime realm. When they cross paths with the mysterious and enigmatic Nameless and her hard-partying cabal, Raoul and Alex are seduced into a glamorous, surrealistic world of hedonism, thrills, and violence.”

Kristen Stewart, who also starred in the ocean monster movie Underwater, recently discussed Flesh of the Gods on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast while discussing the toxicity of Edward and Bella’s love story in the Twilight saga.

“Like Los Angeles itself, Flesh Of The Gods inhabits the liminal realm between fantasy and nightmare. Both propulsive and hypnotic, Flesh will take you on a hot rod joy ride deep into the glittering heart of hell.”

The Twilight franchise is based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel series. At the time, it had a massive following, with the first film bringing in over $35 million in box office revenue on its first day. The franchise centers on human Bella, who falls in love with sparkly emo vampire Edward. The franchise features topics of love, death, teenage angst, as well as family and pregnancy.

All five films are now streaming on Hulu.

There has been no word yet when Flesh of the Gods will premiere, but have no fear; we’ll keep you posted.
