Writer-director Gabriel Abrantes‘ new horror movie, Ameila’s Children, has just been released. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Gabriel to discuss the film and his future in the horror genre.
The film centers on Edward, whose life takes a dramatic turn when his quest to meet his biological family leads him and his girlfriend, Ryley, to a majestic villa in the Portuguese mountains. The promise of meeting his long-lost mother and twin brother thrills him, but upon arrival, the idyllic facade crumbles. Edward soon discovers his newfound family’s horrifying secret.
The film unapologetically tackles some seriously disturbing subject matter, including witchcraft, incest, and filicide, a combination that will stay with you long after the credits role.
