From the Executive Producers of Everything All at Once comes writer-director Mary Dauterman‘s feature debut, the stomach-churning horror movie Booger.
Part horror, part black comedy, the film stars Grace Glowicki as Anna, a young woman grappling with the sudden loss of her best friend. As Anna desperately searches for Izzy’s missing cat, Booger, she discovers a mysterious bite. Soon, the line between human and feline begins to blur. With her work life and relationship crumbling, Anna’s physical transformation mirrors the emotional turmoil within. Booger tackles complex themes of grief and loss with a dark comedic twist, creating a genuinely singular cinematic experience.
The talented cast includes Garrick Bernard (Single Drunk Female), Marcia DeBonis (Sometimes I Think About Dying), David Rysdahl (Oppenheimer), and Heather Matarazzo (Welcome to the Dollhouse).
Lexi Tannenholtz (Shudder’s Bad Things) produces. Executive producers include Neon Heart Productions (Cora Bora), Ley Line Entertainment (Everything Everywhere All at Once), and Lizzie Shapiro (Shiva Baby). Booger, which screened at the Final Girls Berlin Film Festival, opens in select theaters and arrives on digital and VOD on September 13 from Dark Sky Films.
