News about the upcoming Jurassic World movie has begun to roll in. The first video has arrived, giving a glimpse at one of the dinosaurs, the Parasaurolophus, a herbivore present in all Jurassic movies, even sharing a touching scene with Chris Pratt in Jurassic World: Dominion.

While the news surrounding Parasaurolophus doesn’t shed light on the plot or timeline, it’s the first confirmed dinosaur. The Parasaurolophus lived around 76 million years ago. The massive leaf eater reached about 30 feet long and weighed in at over 5.5 tons. And while it wouldn’t eat you, you still wouldn’t want to piss it off.

The behind-the-scenes video of the dinosaur comes via the Evolution Square channel, which is dedicated to the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises. Take a look below and let us know if you recognize the dinosaur from previous movies.

Jurassic World 4 already has an impressive cast that includes Scarlett Johansson (MCU) who takes the spotlight alongside Jonathan Bailey (“Bridgerton”), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer), Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Luna Blaise (“Manifest”), David Iacono (“Dead Boy Detectives”), Audrina Miranda (“Lopez vs Lopez”), and Mahershala Ali (Leave the World Behind).

While the cast brings new energy, some veterans return from the franchise. David Koepp, screenwriter for Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), penned the script. Jurassic World trilogy producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are back. Steven Spielberg will be serving as an executive producer.

Details about the plot are scarce, but it will reportedly be a “completely fresh take” featuring three adults and three teenagers stranded on Isla Nublar. Hopefully, more details will emerge as production in Thailand progresses.

We’ll keep you posted as we wait for Jurassic World 4 to open in theaters on July 2nd, 2025.
