Prepare to be consumed by darkness. Co-directors Matt Devino and David Michael Yohe have announced the world premiere of their horror film, THE DÆMON, at FrightFest.
This Lovecraftian slow-burn delves into the depths of the human psyche. A family grapples with unresolved trauma, only to find themselves trapped by an ancient, evil force.
Haunted by his father’s suicide, Tom seeks refuge at the lakeside cottage where his father met his end. There, his tormented memories from childhood resurface. An ancient, mysterious force lurks beneath the lake’s depths, driving Tom to madness.
Tom’s communication dwindles into an eerie silence. His wife becomes desperate to rescue her husband. She enlists the help of her brother, Mark, and his wife, Jess, a trauma and grief counselor. Unaware of the sinister malevolence seeping from the lake, Tom becomes a willing vessel for the same evil that claimed his parents and now threatens all who dare draw near.
With its haunting atmosphere and chilling narrative, THE DÆMON debuts at Piegon Shrine FrightFest on Friday, August 23rd. Learn more about other films premiering at the film festival here.
