The Evil Dead franchise is showing no signs of ending anytime soon. Following the monstrous success of Evil Dead Rise and the series “Ash Vs. Evil Dead,” a new series is coming. Moreover, the iconic Ash Williams, played by the equally iconic Bruce Campbell, is returning triumphantly, this time in animated form.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Campbell confirmed that an animated “Evil Dead” series is in development. While he officially hung up his chainsaw as the live-action Ash, Campbell is eager to reprise the role vocally: “We are developing an animated version, like a series,” he said. “I’ll do that. I’ll do Ash’s voice all day long because my voice hasn’t aged as much as I have.”

Campbell also emphasized the franchise’s core appeal, stating that the premise of ordinary people battling extraordinary evil truly resonates with audiences. With the franchise expanding in both live-action and animation, fans of gore, humor, and demonic possession have plenty to look forward to.

While details about the animated series are scarce, the prospect of hearing Campbell’s iconic voice again as Ash Williams is undoubtedly exciting news for fans.

During his stint on ” Ash vs. Evil Dead,” we interviewed Campbell about the Evil Dead’s legacy and his future. You can find the interview here.
