Epic Pictures has announced that its horror label, DREAD, will release Haunt Season this October. Witness a terrifying film that blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural.
Haunt Season follows a maniac killer who targets the cast of a local haunted house, hell-bent on turning their staged scares into horrifying reality.
The movie was filmed at a real haunted attraction during its active Halloween season. You can expect practical effects and makeup, ensuring an experience that looks so real that it’s scary.
The talented cast includes YouTube stars Rob Scallon and Craig Benzine, who bring their energy and humor to the film. They are joined by actors Katelin Stack, Jeremy Warner, Sarah Elizabeth, and Adam Hinkle. Rasheed Thomas of the band Nonpoint composed the soundtrack, featuring songs from Scallon and Andrew Huang.
Writer/director Jake Jarvi shared his inspiration for the film, explaining, “HAUNT SEASON is about the world of passionate creatives. Partnering with a real haunted house gave us incredible insight into the world of haunters, and there were so many parallels to our world of indie production.” He added, “It’s about creative people doing what it takes to turn their dreams into reality. Except in this case one person’s dream is killing a whole lot of people.”
Haunt Season will have a limited theatrical run beginning on October 4th. On October 8th, this scare-fest will be available to rent or purchase on VOD.
