Frank Grillo, star of The Purge franchise, goes head to head in a brutal, blood-drenched fight in the new horror movie Werewolves from Silent Night director Steven C. Miller.
In the new trailer, we get our first real glimpse of the werewolves and a taste of the action and horrors that await you. And it’s killer!
The film’s premise is simple yet terrifying: a year ago, a supermoon activated a latent werewolf gene in part of the population. For one night, it transformed anyone exposed to its light into a ravenous beast. With millions dead and another supermoon imminent, the race is on for survival.
Grillo takes center stage as a hardened character determined to protect his loved ones amidst the chaos. Katrina Law (“NCIS”) plays Dr. Amy Chen, joining him in forming a formidable duo against the werewolf onslaught.
The setup resembles The Purge: Anarchy, which also starred Grillo, but with a supernatural twist. Imagine the escalating tension and desperate struggle for survival, amplified by the threat of monstrous transformations. Miller, known for his expertise in action and horror (Silent Night, Escape Plan 2), promises to deliver a thrilling experience.
Ilfenesh Hadera (Godfather Of Harlem), James Michael Cummings (City On The Hill), and “Prodigal Son” and “Longmire” actor Lou Diamond Phillips round out the cast of this highly anticipated movie.
“We are super excited to be releasing Werewolves later this year exclusively in theatres,” said Myles Nestel, co-CEO of The Solution. “Our cast is incredible from the amazing Frank Grillo to powerhouse performances from Katrina Law and Ilfenesh Hadera. The use of practical werewolves designed and built by Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr (known from the Alien and Predator series) takes the genre back to its roots in a fresh and exciting way. We hope audiences will have as much fun experiencing the film in theatres as we had making it!”
