Mark Duplass is reprising his iconic role as the twisted serial killer “Peachfuzz” from the movies Creep and Creep 2 in the chilling new horror spin-off series “The Creep Tapes.”
In “The Creep Tapes,” Peachfuzz adopts various personas to lure unsuspecting victims to their doom. The series features Josh Ruben (Scare Me, A Wounded Fawn) as one of the targeted filmmakers.
The Creep franchise began in 2014 with the original film. In it, Aaron (Patrick Brice), an aspiring videographer, responds to an online ad seeking someone to film a stranger’s life. He meets Josef (Mark Duplass), a mysterious client who claims to be creating a video for his unborn child. Aaron begins to suspect Josef’s sinister intentions as the day progresses, leading to a terrifying encounter.
In the sequel, Josef returns, using the alias “Aaron.” He lures Sara (Desiree Akhavan), a YouTuber, to his remote cabin and reveals his true identity as a serial killer. Offering her a 24-hour window to document his life in exchange for her survival, Josef’s twisted proposal leads to a tense and unpredictable relationship between the two.
