From Blumhouse and visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creator of the chilling modern monster tale The Invisible Man comes a terrifying new nightmare: Wolf Man. Last week, we shared a featurette from Wolf Man in which Whannell discussed the film. Now, in the first look, Whannell shares images from the set featuring cast and crew.

Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things) stars as Blake, who inherits his childhood home after his father vanishes. With his marriage to Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark) fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Subservience).

A beast attacks the family as they approach the farmhouse in the dead of night. They barricade themselves inside the home as the creature stalks the perimeter. However, as the night continues, Blake behaves strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable.

The film co-stars Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama), and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man). Wolf Man is directed by Whannell and written by Whannell and Corbett Tuck. Whannell’s previously teamed up with Blumhouse for The Invisible Man, Upgrade, and Insidious: Chapter 3.

Blumhouse’s Jason Blum, p.g.a produces the film., and Ryan Gosling (The Fall Guy, Lost River). It is executive produced by Leigh Whannell, Beatriz Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Ken Kao. Universal Pictures and Blumhouse present a Gosling/Waypoint Entertainment production in association with Cloak & Co.

Get ready for a hair-raising film. Wolf Man bares its teeth in theaters on January 17, 2025, from Blumhouse and Universal Pictures, which also happens to be Whannell’s birthday. Get your tickets now.
