This January, there are multiple horror films and thrillers heading your way including, Get Away and Bystandards, but there’s also a new sci-fi thriller you really should check out, Creep Box from writer-director Patrick Biesemans, best known for the chilling psychological thriller The Incident.

What if we could communicate with the dead? Creep Box turns that question into a haunting exploration of grief, technology, and the blurred lines between reality and the afterlife.

In the film, a technician for a shadowy tech firm whose devices allow for communication with the dead investigates both a murder case and a suicide, while he craves to connect with his dead wife through the machine. As his mind begins to slip, he slowly becomes obsessed.

Creep Box stars Geoffrey Cantor, Sean Mahon, Ian Lithgow, Katie Kuang, and Adam David Thompson.

The film is an award-winning feature adaptation of the nine minute short film of the same name, released as an ALTER Exclusive (watch it below).

Watch the trailer and short film below ahead of Creep Box’s premiere on digital January 24, 2025.
