Hellboy: The Crooked Man, written by comic creator Mike Mignola himself, is finally getting its streaming release. And it’s sooner rather than later. It’s coming exclusively to MAX this weekend!
This R-rated thrill ride is set in the chilling atmosphere of 1950s America. Hellboy is enlisted to aid rookie paranormal researcher Bobbie Jo Song in transporting a deadly creature. However, their mission soon goes awry when an accident leaves them stranded in the forests of rural Appalachia, where a small community resides, haunted by demonic forces. With all clues pointing towards witchcraft as the culprit, Hellboy and his allies must hunt down the source of this evil – the ‘Crooked Man’ who has been sent to Earth to collect souls for the devil.
The film boasts a new take on the “red right hand,” with Jack Kesy stepping into the iconic role, following in the footsteps of Ron Perlman and David Harbour. Directed by Brian Taylor (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), the movie stars Jefferson White (“Yellowstone”). Adaline Rudoplh (Resident Evil), Joseph Marcell (“Fresh Prince”), and Leigh MacNamara (The Gentlemen) also star. The new installment of the iconic franchise is from the producers of The Hitman’s Bodyguard and The Expendables.
With its blend of horror, action, and dark humor, Hellboy: The Crooked Man is a must-see for fans of the genre and the iconic character. Watch it exclusively streaming on MAX beginning January 18.
