Prepare to be chilled to the bone with the upcoming film The Rule of Jenny Pen. It is a terrifying new psychological thriller starring John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush. The first look has arrived, revealing a glimpse at the stars of this “must-see” film.

It was directed by James Ashcroft (Coming Home in the Dark) and written by Ashcroft and Eli Kent. Owen Marshall’s story inspired it. The film follows the descent into madness of arrogant Judge Stefan Mortensen (Rush). After suffering a stroke, he is forced to face more than just the horrors of a retirement home.

Mortensen clashes with his roommate, Dave Crealy (Lithgow), who secretly terrorizes the home with a sadistic game, using a doll as his instrument of cruelty. However, as Crealy’s torment escalates, Mortensen must find a way to stop Crealy before his game claims more victims.

Nathaniel Lees, Maaka Pohatu, Thomas Sainsbury, Ian Mune, Bruce Phillips, and Holly Shanahan round out the cast of the film, which has already won awards at film festivals, including “Best Director” and “Best Actor “at Fantastic Fest and “Best Actor” at Sitges.

Prepare for a wild ride when The Rule of Jenny Pen opens in theaters on Friday, March 7th, by IFC Films and Shudder.
