A new batch of images and a new poster have surfaced from Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch‘s new adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. In one of the images, we see John Lithgow‘s character Jud Crandall standing on the border of where the pet cemetery and the mysterious Native American burial ground meet.

In the film, Louis Creed, his wife Rachel and their two children Gage and Ellie move to a rural home where they are welcomed and enlightened about the eerie ‘Pet Sematary’ located near their home. After the tragedy of their cat being killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious pet cemetery, which is definitely not as it seems, as it proves to the Creeds that sometimes, dead is better.
Jason Clarke stars as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz as Rachel Creed,  John Lithgow as Jud Crandall, Jete Laurence as Ellie Creed, and Hugo Lavoie as Gage Creed.
Pet Sematary will open on April 5th, 2019, just 16 days shy of exactly 20 years after the original adaptation’s release date.
