Black Mandala is unleashing Play Dead, a terrifying new horror film that plunges viewers into a chilling nightmare of survival and deception.
Carlos ‘Charly’ Goitia (behind the recently released movie The 100 Candles Game: The Last Possession) directed the film. Nicolás Onetti (What the Waters Left Behind and its sequel) produces Play Dead, which promises a relentless descent into terror.
Written by Gonzalo Mellid and Camilo Zaffora, Play Dead follows the harrowing ordeal of Alison ( Paula Brasca of What the Waters Left Behind). Gravely injured and trapped in a dark, filthy basement, Alison’s only chance for survival lies in feigning death. She must blend in with the surrounding corpses. But as she clings to life, a horrifying realization dawns upon her: above the basement, a grotesque, ritualistic celebration is taking place. With each passing moment, the danger intensifies, and Alison’s desperate act of survival becomes a fight against unimaginable horrors.
The cast also includes Catalina Motto, Luca Espindola, David Gomez Pascua, Marta Quarleri, Luciana Contreras, Milagros Ribet, Damian Castillo, and Daniela Roitman.
Play Dead draws inspiration from classic horror films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Don’t Breathe, and The Collector. It blends relentless tension with gruesome horror to create a truly unforgettable cinematic experience.
