Some tuned in to watch the Super Bowl for the action, and some tuned in for the killer commercials and TV Spots. The Big Game spot for Jurassic World: Rebirth was one of those. It gave fans a thrilling taste of the dinosaur mayhem to come and the promise of a new era for the franchise.
Jurassic World: Rebirth takes the franchise in a bold new direction while delivering an action-packed spectacle anchored by an all-star cast. The film is led by Scarlett Johansson, Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey, and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali.
The new chapter plunges a team into the heart of Isla Nublar, the site of the original Jurassic Park. It is now overrun by the most dangerous dinosaurs left behind. However, it’s a race against time to secure the DNA of the three most colossal creatures across land, sea, and air. They hold the key to a miraculous drug with the potential to save countless human lives.
Gareth Edwards, the visionary behind Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, directs the film, which features a screenplay by David Koepp, the writer of the original Jurassic Park.
Years after Jurassic World: Dominion events, dinosaurs struggle to survive in the planet’s altered ecology. Those that remain exist in isolated equatorial environments, clinging to life in climates reminiscent of their prehistoric world.
The cast also includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben’s family. Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) round out the cast as members of Zora and Krebs’ teams.
Jurassic World: Rebirth is directed by BAFTA winner Edwards from a script by Koepp, based on characters created by Michael Crichton. The film is produced by Oscar nominees Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime producers of the Jurassic franchise. Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer serve as executive producers.
