RLJE Films and Shudder have unleashed the Red Band trailer for the upcoming horror comedy Clown in a Cornfield, an adaptation of Adam Cesare’s Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel.
The film is directed by Eli Craig, who knows how to do horror comedies right. He’s best known for his hilarious cult classic Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. He’s also behind the laugh-out-loud horror comedy Little Evil and the “Zombieland” TV series.
Clown in a Cornfield, adapted for film by Carter Blanchard and Craig, follows Quinn (Douglas) and her father (Abrams). The two have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, they discover a fractured community fallen on hard times after the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As tensions boil over, a sinister figure emerges from the cornfields to claim one bloody victim at a time.
The first film features a talented cast, including Katie Douglas (Ginny & Georgia). Carson MacCormac (Shazam!), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), Will Sasso (The Three Stooges), and Kevin Durand (Abigail) also star.
Get ready to be terrified by this twisted tale. Clown in a Cornfield slashes its way into theaters on May 9, 2025. A Shudder release will follow.
