Terror Films Releasing (TFR) and Iconic Events team up to bring Hell House LLC: Lineage, the highly anticipated fifth installment of the beloved found-footage horror franchise, to theaters this summer. Before the film arrives on Shudder in October, fans can experience the terror on the big screen.

A Return to Abaddon

Hell House LLC: Lineage promises to delve deeper into the mysteries of Abaddon, revisiting characters from Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor, including the Carmichael siblings, Patrick, Catherine, and Margaret. The film will also feature the return of Margot and Rebecca, who met their demise in the Carmichael Manor. Alice Harper, the documentarian and journalist portrayed by Searra Sawka, returns. Elizabeth Vermilyea reprises her role as Vanessa Shephard.

Stephen Cognetti, the mastermind behind the franchise, returns to write and direct this potentially final chapter. The official synopsis reveals a narrative that explores the decades-long history of murders in Abaddon.

Haunted by visions and nightmares after a near-death experience, Vanessa Shepard finds herself living in the town of Abaddon. She is unable to break free from its unexplainable hold on her. People around her suddenly and inexplicably begin to die. She uncovers a terrifying connection to the Abaddon Hotel, the Carmichael Manor, and the mysterious murders that have been occurring for decades, long before Hell House LLC.

In a departure from the franchise’s signature found-footage style, Cognetti opted to shoot Lineage as a narrative film.

He explains, “This is by far the biggest Hell House of the series, so experiencing it in a theater is definitely the best way to consume the final chapter. For the story, scope, and scares I wanted to write in Lineage, found footage was going to be too restrictive to make the film that I wanted to make. I set out to make a Hell House movie like you’ve never seen, and I promise you won’t be disappointed in the change of format.”

Hell House LLC: Lineage is produced by Joe Bandelli, with TFR CEO Joe Dain and COO Jim Klock serving as executive producers. The film is slated for a theatrical release in August. The exact date will be announced in the coming weeks.
