An Incredible Cast
Our badass bride, Samara Weaving, is back in Ready or Not 2! However, she’s bringing some seriously incredible company with her. Abigail co-stars Kathryn Newton and Kevin Durand join her. The cast also includes Shawn Hatosy (“The Pitt”), Néstor Carbonell (“Shogun”), and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings).
But, wait for it… Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Master of Horror David Cronenberg have joined the cast! Yes, you read that right. David Cronenberg is joining the cast! What kind of twisted role will the master of body horror be playing? We can only imagine the delightfully disturbing possibilities.

What is the official title for this highly anticipated sequel? Drumroll please… Ready or Not: Here I Come! Talk about a chillingly playful title!
The dream team behind the original is also back in full force. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the maestros of Radio Silence (also behind Abigail), are returning to direct for Searchlight Pictures, working from a script penned by the original Ready or Not writers, the wickedly talented Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett shared their excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to be returning to the world of ‘Ready or Not’ with Samara, and so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the ‘Ready or Not’ family.”

For those who need a quick refresher, the first Ready or Not followed the unfortunate wedding night of a young bride (Weaving) who married into her new husband’s obscenely rich and eccentric family. What started as a seemingly innocent, time-honored tradition of playing a game turned into a lethal fight for survival as her in-laws hunted her.
