The wait has been torture, but it’s almost over! Netflix has just dropped a lot of “Wednesday” news that will make your morbid little hearts flutter. That’s not all! Wednesday, our favorite dark and deadly dear, is back in the new season two trailer.

The New Trailer Is Here

Feast your eyes on the brand-spanking-new trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “Wednesday,” starring Jenna Ortega as the delightfully dark and morbid Wednesday Addams.

The trailer is a delicious little taste of the darkly comedic chaos. It starts with Wednesday, when we see her go through airport security. Of course, it’s loaded down with weapons. Next, Wednesday returns for her second year at Nevermore Academy. Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) notes with a hint of surprise that her daughter has never wanted to return to school before. Wednesday quips back with her signature deadpan delivery, “I’m like returning to the crime scene — I already know where the bodies are buried.” In the trailer, she ominously declares, “I do my best work in the dark.”

The trailer also gives us a peek at Wednesday reuniting with her sunshine-and-rainbows roommate, Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers. We also get glimpses of the rest of the  Addams clan, including Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Fred Armisen returning as the beloved Uncle Fester. Hold onto your hats, folks, because the trailer also introduces a fantastic new addition: Steve Buscemi, as the school’s principal, Barry Dort! Knowing Buscemi’s talent for quirky and sometimes unsettling characters, this casting choice is brilliant.

A Horde of New Cast Members

But the new faces don’t stop there! Some exciting new names are joining the returning series regulars, including Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. And the guest star list? Prepare to have your mind blown. We’re talking about the legendary Christopher Lloyd (yes, the Uncle Fester from the 1991 “Addams Family” film!), Joanna Lumley, and Thandiwe Newton. The cast list continues with FrancO’Connor The Missing), Haley Joel Osment, and Heather Matarazzo.

The series was brought to life by creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive producer and director Tim Burton. It was an absolute smash hit for Netflix back in 2022. In fact, “Wednesday” became the most-viewed English language series in the streamers’ history, racking up a mind-boggling 252 million views and spending a whopping 20 weeks on Netflix’s global Top 10.

“Wednesday” Arrives This Summer

So, get ready to embrace the darkness, folks. This season will be a two-part release! The first batch of episodes will be creeping onto your screens on August 6th, followed by the second part on September 3rd. Watch season one now on Netflix.
