Get ready to have your coulrophobia (that’s a fear of clowns) seriously triggered! Because Frendo, the terrifying Clown from the highly anticipated horror flick Clown in a Cornfield, is hitting the road to bring the scares to a town near you! Frendo will embark on a two-week semi-truck tour across the country, leading to the film’s theatrical release on Friday, May 9th. This isn’t your typical promotional parade, folks. Frendo is expected to terrorize anyone who crosses his path at iconic landmarks, special screenings, and various events. Consider yourselves warned!

Take a Terrifying Trip with Frendo

For all you brave souls, you can track Frendo’s menacing journey across the United States by following the official social media accounts for @Shudder and @Clown_in_a_Cornfield. If you’re feeling particularly daring, and perhaps a little bit insane, you can try to track down the Frendo tour truck or one of the film’s unsettling “Don’t F*** With Frendo” posters that are sure to pop up in the wild. Suppose you snap a photo with the terrifying Clown or his ominous signage and post it using the hashtag #IFoundFrendo. In that case, you’ll be entered to win an exclusive prize pack, though we can’t guarantee it won’t include a lifetime supply of nightmares.

The Fright-Filled Film

Based on Adam Cesare’s award-winning novel, Clown in a Cornfield premiered to rave reviews at this year’s SXSW. It currently holds a remarkable 93% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The talented Eli Craig, known for Tucker and Dale vs Evil, directed Clown in a Cornfield and co-wrote it with Carter Blanchard. Clown in a Cornfield boasts a fantastic cast, including Katie Douglas (“Ginny & Georgia”), Carson MacCormac (Shazam!), and Aaron Abrams (Hannibal). Will Sasso (“The Three Stooges”) and Kevin Durand (“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”) round out the cast.

In Clown in a Cornfield, we’re thrown into the seemingly quiet town of Kettle Spring. Quinn and her father have just moved in. However, their dreams of a peaceful new life are shattered as Quinn discovers a deeply fractured community. As tensions between the locals reach a boiling point, a sinister figure emerges from the town’s cornfields. This terrifying Clown has a bloody and singular mission: to cleanse Kettle Springs of its perceived burdens, one gruesome victim at a time.

Keep your eyes peeled for Frendo and watch Clown in a Cornfield when it opens in theaters on May 9th!
