Heads up, horror hounds! Over twenty years after his chilling subterranean horror film Creep burrowed its way into our nightmares. Now, director Christopher Smith (Consecration) is heading back underground for a remake of his own movie, officially titled “The Creep.”
Deadline reports that Shudder has already secured the U.S. distribution rights. This is big news for fans of the original, which famously starred Franka Potente as a woman trapped in the labyrinth of the London Underground, pursued by a terrifying figure.
New Faces Join the Fear!
For this fresh new version, Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy) takes on the leading role as Chloe, a struggling artist who finds herself drawn back into her criminal past. And she won’t be alone in the terrifying tunnels!
The cast includes Andy Nyman (Wicked) as Dave, a captive who’s disturbingly familiar with Creep’s nefarious behavior. And UK rapper Aitch makes his acting debut as Natter G, a famous rapper armed with sharp wit and natural survival instincts.
The film’s setting promises to be as atmospheric as ever. “Set in London’s iconic shadowy underground, the malevolent figure of Creep unleashes fresh terror on unsuspecting passengers.”
