Halloween Horror Nights is pulling out all the stops this year, bringing the iconic slasher Jason Voorhees from the infamous Friday the 13th films to life in an all-original haunted house: “Jason Universe.” And with today being Friday the 13th, it’s a perfect day for the announcement! This terrifying new experience takes guests right back to the summer camp where the gruesome legend was born. The reckoning begins on Friday, August 29th, at Universal Orlando Resort and on Thursday, September 4th, at Universal Studios Hollywood!

Jason has tormented audiences for decades and is considered one of the most notorious villains in cinematic history. This fall, the twisted, creative minds behind Halloween Horror Nights are paying homage to the machete-wielding killer in a horrifying haunted house that promises to re-awaken the legend and terrify both old and new fans alike.
Step into the Nightmare: “Jason Universe” Haunted House
“Jason Universe” will take Halloween Horror Nights guests on a chilling tour of vengeance throughout the infamous summer camp, showing them where it all began. You’ll creep through the creaking floorboards of Jason’s ramshackle cabin, navigate the decaying main lodge, and brave the eerie forest that offers no refuge for his victims. Around every corner, fans will be inundated with infamous killer moments from Jason’s heinous homicidal career as he taunts and stalks his victims, who learn too late that the legend is terrifyingly real.

For Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, which will run for 48 select nights from August 29th through November 2nd, tickets and event-inclusive vacation packages are available now. The event will feature 10 terrifying haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and more. Products on sale now include single-night tickets and event upgrades such as Halloween Horror Nights Express Passes, the R.I.P. Tour, and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour. Guests can also stay, scream, and save up to $200 on a special vacation package. It includes hotel accommodations and one-night admission to Halloween Horror Nights. It also includes daytime admission to Universal’s theme parks (including the all-new Universal Epic Universe theme park), and more.
A variety of Halloween Horror Nights ticket options for Universal Studios Hollywood, which runs select nights from September 4th through November 2nd, are available now. These include General Admission, Universal Express, After 2 p.m. Day/Night, the Early Access Ticket (entry to select haunted houses beginning at 5:30 p.m.), the R.I.P. Tour, and popular passes such as the Frequent Fear Pass and Ultimate Fear Pass, which allow guests to experience the scares repeatedly.
To celebrate this monumental announcement, fans can now purchase new merchandise and limited-release items inspired by the “Jason Universe.”. That includes a t-shirt and a camping mug. Plus, a new graphic puzzle piece for “Jason Universe” is available to fit into the collectible Halloween Horror Nights frame. The pieces from this year’s killer line-up will come together to create a framed mural within the frame.
