Production on Amazon’s new prequel series to “The Boys,” “Vought Rising,” begins this month. The series, which was greenlit in 2024, is described as a “twisted murder mystery” set in the 1950s.
Several new stars have been announced to join the series. That includes Jorden Myrie (“Bridgerton”), Nicolò Pasetti (“Industry”), Ricky Staffieri (“The Bear”), and Brian J. Smith (“Sense8”)
The new cast members join “Supernatural” actor Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. Both will be reprising their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront (also known as Clara Vought) from “The Boys.” Details about the new characters are currently being kept under wraps.
“Vought Rising” is the third spin-off project in the “The Boys” (returning in 2026) universe, joining the college-themed series “Gen V,” which returns on September 17, and the animated anthology “The Boys Presents: Diabolical (out now).”
“Vought Rising” will be showrun and executive produced by Paul Grellong, with “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke also serving as an executive producer.
