Get ready, because it’s official: Amazon Prime Video‘s hit show “Fallout“ is coming back onto your screens this December for its second season. The news dropped with a few sneaky first-look photos, giving us a peek at the show’s take on New Vegas—a pretty huge deal for fans of the video games.
In case you missed it, the series takes place after the world went up in flames and is now an “incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe,” which sounds like my Tuesday morning commute, but with more mutants.
Leading the charge is Ella Purnell as Lucy, a perky Vault-dweller on a mission to save her dad. She runs into the ultimate bad boy of the wasteland, the “Ghoul,” played by the amazing Walton Goggins. This guy’s been around for 200 years, and let’s say he’s not a big fan of pleasantries. The show features a huge cast, including names like Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Emerson, and even Macaulay Culkin, who is joining the crew for Season 2! The whole gang is coming together again to bring you more post-apocalyptic mayhem, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store.
The first season dropped last April and was a massive hit, earning a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series adaptation of the hit game paid off big time, with the show earning numerous Emmy nominations and winning in the category of music supervision. So yeah, the soundtrack slaps.
Showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet are back at the helm, executive producing alongside Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.
