Get ready for some serious Halloween vibes! A new indie slasher is coming for you! The sleepy New England town of Carpenter Falls is the setting for a new slasher, The Boy from Below. This Halloween-set flick is out now in select theaters.
A Killer Premise
The town of Carpenter Falls is known for being the hometown of B-movie scream queen Marilyn Leigh Miller. However, her death triggered her teenage son on a blood-drenched killing spree. Now, 30 years later, an obsessed psychopath is paying tribute to the late actress by living out his own horror movie fantasies.
Caught in the middle of this Halloween madness is video store clerk Quinn Curtis and her friends. As die-hard horror fans, their knowledge of the genre might be their only hope of survival.
A Cast of Horror Royalty
This film is packed with some of your favorite horror legends, including Spooky Madison (Phantom Fun-World), Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2), and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp). It was directed by Tory Jones, with practical special effects handled by Cody Ruch.
According to Jones, fans can expect “a fun slasher throwback to the era of the video filled with all the things we love as horror fans: a compelling story, lots of laughs, brutal special effects, and familiar faces synonymous with some of the greatest horror films ever made.” Sounds good to us.
