While The Conjuring: Last Rites may be the end for the movie franchise, the stories of Ed and Lorraine Warren are far from over. A “The Conjuring” TV series is currently in development at HBO Max.
Variety reports that Nancy Won has officially boarded the series as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Won, an Emmy nominee, has been involved with series like “Supernatural,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Sunny.” She joins the project’s other writers, Peter Cameron and Cameron Squires.
The series was first reported back in 2023, but is now picking up steam. Franchise executive producer Peter Safran will remain attached as executive producer, along with James Wan’s Atomic Monster. The series is from Warner Bros.
