Great news, horror fans who love sports thrillers! Monkeypaw Productions’ savage new film, HIM, is making its way home, and it’s bringing a truckload of exclusive, never-before-seen content with it.

Produced by the master of modern mischief, Academy Award®-winner Jordan Peele, HIM takes the obsessive pursuit of athletic excellence and pours a whole vat of dark psychological horror over it. Peele himself calls it a perfect Monkeypaw film because of the mischief in the idea alone,” and honestly, that tracks.

The story follows quarterback Cameron Cade (breakout star Tyriq Withers), who is rattled after being attacked by an unhinged fan. His “lifeline” comes from his childhood football idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), who offers to train him. But Isaiah’s charisma starts to curdle into something truly sinister. This sends Cam down a disorienting, high-stakes spiral. One that threatens to cost him not just his career, but also his soul.

This vicious thriller is directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks) from a seriously acclaimed Black List screenplay. Joining Wayans and Withers is an incredible cast, including Julia Fox (Uncut Gems), Tim Heidecker (Us), and comedian Jim Jefferies.

But the real MVP of this announcement is the bonus content. If you buy the movie (on digital or physical), you unlock over 45 minutes of exclusive, never-before-seen footage. We’re talking about the good stuff, too—the stuff that really twists the knife.

Exclusive Bonus Features (Only when you buy!):

  • Alternate Ending: Zay’s Nightmare (Yes, we finally get to see what else could have gone wrong.)
  • Five Deleted Scenes: Including “Food or Freedom” (a deleted end credits scene) and “Don’t Be a Mascot” featuring Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers. Expect more guts, glory, and awkward tension.
  • Becoming Them: A deep dive into how Tyriq Withers and Marlon Wayans didn’t just act like elite athletes; they had to live like them, complete with strict diets and intense training.
  • The Sport of Filmmaking: Explore how the creative team used integrated lighting, military-grade thermal cameras, and detailed prosthetics to bring the film’s unique, spiritual-meets-cinematic look to life.
  • Feature Commentary with Director/Co-Writer Justin Tipping.
  • Anatomy of a Scene breakdowns and an examination of the psychological score development.

You can stop lurking outside the theater because HIM is hitting Digital platforms tomorrow, October 7, 2025, for purchase or rent!
