Apple TV+ has unveiled the chilling new trailer for “The Hunt” (Traqués), the highly anticipated French-language thriller. César Award-nominated creator and director Cédric Anger (Next Time I’ll Aim for the Heart) developed the series. It is bringing a tense new entry to the platform’s lineup.

The series stars Cannes Best Actor and three-time César Award winner Benoît Magimel (Pacifiction), as well as two-time César Award winner Mélanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds).

Franck (Magimel) and his longtime friends regularly hunt together on weekends. However, their afternoon is shattered when another group of hunters targets them without explanation. After a shooter wounds one of Franck’s party, his friends retaliate. The four friends barely escape and immediately agree to keep the violent event a secret.

Franck tries to return to his everyday life with his wife, Krystel (Laurent). However, he and his friends soon sense someone is watching them. Are they being tracked by hunters hell-bent on revenge?

Cédric Anger created and directed the series, produced by Gaumont (Lupin, Becoming Karl Lagerfeld).

The cast includes Damien Bonnard, Manuel Guillot, Cédric Appietto, and Frédéric Maranber. Angelyna Danabe-Mignot, Paul Beaurepaire, Yann Goven, Sarah Pachoud, and Patrick De Vallette join them. Gaumont’s Sidonie Dumas, Isabelle Degeorges, Clémentine Vaudaux, and Alexis Barqueiro executive-produce.

The Hunt marks the latest addition to Apple TV+’s strong slate of French programming. This commitment includes “Drops of God”: The International Emmy Award-winning Best Drama, a multilingual French-Japanese series starring Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita. Its highly anticipated second season premieres January 21, 2026.

The Hunt will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on December 3, 2025, with the first two episodes. New episodes will then launch weekly every Wednesday through December 31, 2025.

Since its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ has won over 638 awards and received 2,850 nominations for its original content, thus cementing its place as a leader in premium global streaming content.
