Forget a margarita—Tubi’s latest original is serving up a cocktail of chaos. While director Joe Lynch has a separate project with the same name, Tubi just announced its own horror-comedy, Buzzkill, which is essentially Slumber Party Massacre meets The Hangover.

Currently in production, this slasher features a cast of fan favorites, including Siena Agudong (Resident Evil), Brec Bassinger (Final Destination: Bloodlines, Stargirl), and Aliyah’s Interlude (English Teacher).

One Last Round

When a vengeful killer starts picking off sorority sisters, the house “screw-up,” Nora (Agudong), realizes she holds the key to the mystery. The catch? Her brain only starts connecting the dots when she’s tipsy. To save her friends, Nora has to stay just drunk enough to unlock her fractured memories—but she’d better move fast, because her next vodka soda might be her final call.

Meet the Sisters

  • The Reluctant Hero (Nora): A fast-talking party girl who uses alcohol to chase the truth, even if it destroys her reputation.

  • The Legacy Queen (Kendall): Played by Brec Bassinger, she’s “Sigma Omega Koppa” perfection. Kendall treats a murder spree like a PR disaster and will do anything to keep the sorority’s image pristine.

  • The Truth-Teller (Lexi): Played by Aliyah’s Interlude, Lexi is allergic to fake vibes and has no time for Nora’s theories—until the bodies start piling up exactly where Nora predicted.

The Creative Team

The film is being directed by Jem Garrard (Slay) from a script by Suzanne Keilly, who knows a thing or two about fun slashers (Slumber Party Massacre 2021, Leprechaun Returns). According to Tubi’s Chief Content Officer, Adam Lewinson, the movie is a “bold, fresh fusion” of YA drama and twisted genre thrills.
