Forget the awkward icebreakers and trust falls—this year’s mandatory office outing is a literal bloodbath. Corporate Retreat is slashing its way into theaters this May, and it’s already a viral beast with the trailer reaching over 40 million views on social media.
If you’ve ever wanted to see a “synergistic team-building exercise” turn into a fight for survival, this is your movie.
Performance Reviews from Hell
A group of ambitious young execs heads to a luxury getaway to bond, brainstorm, and probably use the word “pivot” too much. But instead of five-star catering, they get a vengeful retreat leader who has a very different idea of “cutting costs.”
It’s a savage mix of pitch-black satire and over-the-top gore. Imagine your worst office meeting, but with more chainsaws and fewer PowerPoint slides. As the studio puts it, “nobody’s performance review is safe.”
An All-Star Cast of Victims and Villains
The ensemble cast is seriously impressive. It includes Alan Ruck (bringing that Succession corporate energy), Odeya Rush, Ashton Sanders, Rosanna Arquette, and Sasha Lane. They are joined by Kirby Johnson, Zion Moreno, and Tyler Alvarez.
The Creative Dream Team
Aaron Fisher (Inside The Rain) is in the director’s chair for this twisted film with special effects by the legendary Gary J. Tunnicliffe. The film features a score by Anna Drubich (Barbarian).
Coming Soon
The film is making its world premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) on April 5, and critics are already buzzing. The good news is, you don’t have to wait too long to see the brutal mayhem when Corporate Retreat hits theaters on May 22.
