Director Bron Theron and White Ninja Productions have officially announced that their indie action-thriller Pancake Man is coming soon. If you loved Theron’s 2023 hit Half Dead Fred, get ready for what he’s calling “breakfast-noir.”

The Vibe: Falling Down meets Reservoir Dogs

Imagine being at your absolute breaking point, heading to a diner for some comfort food, only to be told, “Sorry, we just switched to the lunch menu.” For Jerry (played by Michael Della Pia), that’s the final straw. What starts as a craving for pancakes spirals into a brutal, city-wide rampage. Before the syrup can even hit the plate, Jerry finds himself in an epic Mexican standoff involving a mob boss’s son, a crew of petty criminals, and some very unlucky cafe staff.

The Cast

This flick is packed with genre veterans you’ll definitely recognize, including Michael Della Pia (Arena Wars) as our hangry anti-hero, Jerry. There’s also Half Dead Fred’s Corin Nemec (Stargate SG-1) and Elissa Dowling (Girl on the Third Floor), Mike Ferguson (Showdown at the Grand), and Jordan Christopher Michael (Motorama).

Director Bron Theron insists this isn’t just a gimmick movie. “It’s a complex story of reaction and consequence,” he says. “Every action has an equally ferocious reaction.”

How to Watch

Pancake Man has already been making waves on the festival circuit, even snagging an Honorable Mention at the IndieX Film Fest earlier this year. You can catch the carnage for yourself when it hits streaming and digital platforms on March 14.
