The news has now come that Terror Films Releasing has teamed up with writer Monica La Vella and director Navin Ramaswaran to release 105ive Films’ new found-footage-style horror film Invited.
Starring Martina Schabron and Elena Zavet, the film follows a mother who attends her daughter’s Zoom elopement along with her family. However, the celebration quickly turns into terror when the mother and the rest of the family realize that things may not be what they seem. And that the groom may actually be part of a terrifying Russian cult with deadly intentions toward the bride. Panic sets in as the family realizes that they may not be able to save the bride from afar.
Ramaswaran shared his thoughts about the making of the film: “The structure of Invited’s screenplay called for shooting in longer takes, as long as 30 scenes sometimes. Watching our actors go through a roller coaster of emotions uninterrupted was fascinating, and that energy comes through in a really fascinating way.”
Invited will make its premiere on the TFR YouTube Terror Channel on May 31st, 2024. The filmmaker, Navin Ramaswaran, will be in attendance for a live Q&A with viewers. The film will later roll out across multiple platforms on June 21st, 2024. That includes Amazon, Tubi TV, Kings of Horror, and many more. Check out the official poster and trailer.
