Acadamy Award-winner Nicole Kidman stars in Prime Video’s upcoming murder mystery thriller Holland (formerly titled Holland, Michigan). A new trailer offers a glimpse into the film’s Hitchcockian suspense, directed by Mimi Cave (“Fresh”) and based on a screenplay by Andrew Sodroski (“Manhunt”).

Holland centers on Nancy, who lives a seemingly perfect life. Her idyllic world shatters when she and a friend uncover a dark secret lurking within their community.

Gael García Bernal and Jude Hill co-star alongside Matthew Macfadyen. Rachel Sennott (Bodies Bodies Bodies) joins the cast. Lennon Parham (“Minx”) and Isaac Krasner (“Power Book III: Raising Kanan”) round out the cast. Jeff Pope (“Interview with the Vampire”) completes the ensemble.

The film’s journey to the screen has been long; Amazon acquired the film rights in 2016. The cast also changed. Naomi Watts and Bryan Cranston were initially set to star, and Errol Morris was slated to direct.

Kidman portrays Nancy, a woman whose life unravels as she confronts hidden truths. The trailer hints at a web of deceit and suggests a sinister undercurrent beneath the surface. Kidman is best known for her roles in films like Moulin Rogue, Practical Magic, and the new series “Lioness.”

Holland will premiere at SXSW on March 9, 2025, and then be available to stream on Prime Video on March 27, 2025.
