Indie Rock Icon Tim Kasher Takes Surveillance Horror on the Road
Dark Sky Films is bringing the psychological horror thriller Who’s Watching to select theaters now. Written and directed by Tim Kasher, frontman of the influential indie rock bands Cursive and The Good Life.

Unraveling Obsession Behind the Lens
The narrative centers on Caleb. He’s an eccentric musician and aspiring filmmaker. He becomes dangerously fixated on his new coworker, Krista. Under the guise of creating his latest movie project, Caleb secretly documents every detail of her daily life. This ignites a dark spiral of surveillance and psychological manipulation.
As the boundary between observer and participant collapses, Who’s Watching poses an increasingly unsettling question: who is really watching whom?
The film stars Zachary Ray Sherman (Under the Banner of Heaven), whose terrifying lead performance earned him the Best Actor Award at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. Gracie Gillam (Superhost), Olivia Luccardi (It Follows), and Steve Berg (Don’t Worry Darling) also star.
A Decade-Long Vision Comes to Life
For Kasher, whose decades-spanning music career has produced landmark concept albums like The Ugly Organ, Domestica, and 2024’s Devourer, this project represents a decade of writing and refining.
Marking his most ambitious cinematic outing following his feature directorial debut No Resolution, the film translates his talent for raw emotional vulnerability into cinematic dread.
“This film has been over a decade in the making, evolving through countless drafts before becoming the story it is today,” Kasher shared. “I’m incredibly proud of what we created, and the performances brought it to life in ways I could never have imagined. I’m thrilled to finally share this creepy story with audiences and to bring it on the road.”
Produced by Kasher, Maher Jafari, Liz Renner, and Josh Ethier, Who’s Watching promises horror fans and music devotees alike a smart, provocative horror thriller that lingers long after the credits roll.
Who’s Watching closes out its tour on August 30 at the Digital Gym Cinema in San Diego, California. It then lands on digital platforms across the United States on September 18, 2026.
