Directed by Dan Allen and penned by Rhys Warrington, Bambi: The Reckoning’s official synopsis is nightmare fuel. After a mother and son get in a car wreck, they are hunted by Bambi. This is no cute, friendly deer; it’s a mutated, grief-stricken deer on a deadly rampage of revenge.
Stuart Alson, the President of ITN Studios, notes with a hint of gleeful perversion, “We are excited to bring the first live-action Bambi film ever to the screens…of course, a horror version. ” If you’re brave enough to witness this haunting new take on a classic tale, it arrives this summer.
