On October 16, 1998, Practical Magic was released. It has since become a classic and a must-watch movie every Halloween season. Now, its long-awaited sequel has officially wrapped production. To celebrate the occasion, Nicole Kidman shared a dreamlike video of herself and Sandra Bullock as they walk off hand in hand into a beautiful field at sunset.
The original movie follows the Owens sisters, Sally and Gillian, who are witches living with their quirky aunts. They have a family curse that dooms any man who falls in love with them. The sisters must team up to deal with an incident involving one of Gillian’s boyfriends before the detective on the case discovers the truth.
The sequel sees the return of the original’s stars, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. Kidman confirmed the sequel was happening last summer, with Bird Box director Susanne Bier officially on board in May. Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are returning as the beloved aunts, Frances and Jet. The sequel will also introduce some fresh faces to the cast. That includes Joey King, Xolo Maridueña, Lee Pace, Solly McLeod, and “Game of Thrones” alum Maisie Williams. We know Joey King is playing one of Sally’s daughters. We’re still waiting to hear details of who the other new cast members will be playing.
