If you’re looking for a movie that feels like a fever dream, you’re in luck. Following its critical acclaim and a wild theatrical run, Bugonia has officially come home. You can stream it exclusively now on Peacock.

Five-time Oscar nominee Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite) is back with his signature blend of dark comedy and “is-this-actually-happening?” weirdness.

The Plot: A CEO, Two Paranoids, and an Alien Mission

Written by Will Tracy (The Menu), the film follows two young men who have fallen deep down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. They become dead-set on the idea that a powerful CEO is actually an intergalactic alien planning to wipe out humanity.

Their big plan to save the world? Kidnap her. What follows is a pitch-black psychological drama full of out-of-this-world plot twists that will have you questioning who the real “monster” is.

The Dream Team Reunites

Lanthimos has assembled a “stacked” cast of favorites, including Emma Stone, who leads the charge as the mysterious CEO, marking her latest collaboration with Lanthimos after their Oscar-winning run with Poor Things. Jesse Plemons joins the chaos, fresh off his own awards buzz for Kinds of Kindness. The cast is rounded out by Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and the legendary Alicia Silverstone.

Behind the lens, the production is a horror fan’s dream, with Lanthimos and Stone producing alongside modern master of dread Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar).

Why You Can’t Miss It

Bugonia is being hailed as Lanthimos’s sharpest satire yet. It’s a biting look at paranoia and corporate power that solidifies his spot as one of the most unique voices in cinema today. And you can stream it now on Peacock!
