If you thought the reveal of “Dad-Mode” Steve Rogers was a lot to handle, hold onto your capes. Marvel just officially released the second character-focused teaser for Avengers: Doomsday. This time, the spotlight is on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

Like the first teaser featuring Chris Evans (which debuted with Avatar: Fire and Ash), this one trades the jokes for a heavy, emotional tone.

The Teaser: A Prayer for Protection

The footage starts in a serene, sun-drenched forest—a far cry from the neon chaos of Thor: Love and Thunder. We find Thor in a quiet, vulnerable moment, praying to his late father, Odin, for the strength to survive the coming war against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.

The teaser confirms that Love (Thor’s adopted daughter, played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India Rose) is back and has grown up since we last saw her. In a touching moment, Thor is seen in casual clothes kissing a sleeping Love on the forehead. His narration is dead-serious, pleading for the “thread to lengthen” just long enough to see her again.

Fans are already losing it over Thor’s look—he’s back to the short hair and the sleeveless, armored look that defined his “peak” power in Avengers: Infinity War.

The Ultimate Marvel Mashup

This Thor spotlight is just one piece of a massive puzzle. Marvel is reportedly rotating character-specific teasers in theaters, with an X-Men-focused one (featuring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) and a Fantastic Four teaser expected to follow very soon.

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be the most significant crossover in cinematic history, featuring:

The New Avengers: Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), and Shuri (Letitia Wright). The Fantastic Four, including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. But that’s not all, the Multiverse heavyweights are also in, including Legacy X-Men characters and the entire Thunderbolts team. That’s a massive amount of iconic characters and talented stars.

Witness the ultimate battle on Christmas 2026 in theaters everywhere! You are not going to want to miss this!
