APL Film has acquired the rights to the horror-thriller Ascent to Hell, from Rumpus Room Productions and Elpis Film. Starring Azura Skye as Kate, an ambitious commercial real estate agent, has sights on a big contract with a wealthy investment manager (Bill Sage). Suddenly Kate and the other people involved in the deal are thrust into a supernatural trap. In order to escape with their lives, Kate must unlock the clues to the building’s dark past.
Ascent to Hell, directed by Dena Hysell, co-stars Skye (One Missed Call), Sage (We Are What We Are), John Randall Hennigan (WWE’s Johnny Nitro) and Cayleb Long.

Cannes, France- APL Film has acquired the international sales rights to Rumpus Room Productions and Elpis Film’s thriller/horror, Ascent to Hell. The deal was concluded by Andrew van den Houten of 79th & Broadway on behalf of the producers, with Warren Nimchuk negotiating for APL Film. Sales are currently underway at Cannes Film Market.
Inspired by the New York Triangle Factory Fire, which left hundreds of female workers dead, Ascent to Hell is a classic ghost story about this former sweatshop and the ghosts that are trying to escape.
The film was written by Golan Ramraz, based on a story by Ramraz, Isak Borg, and Dena Hysell. Andrew Van Den Houten and Nino Conchetta serve as executive producers for this supernatural thriller, with Dena Hysell and Sirad Balducci producing. Will Turner Productions is the cinematographer of the film, and Jonathan Schroeder working as the production designer.
