In New ‘King Cohen’ Clip We See Larry Cohen Talk ‘Q’

Larry Cohen, that’s a name every horror fan should recognize. Cohen is behind films such as It’s Alive, It Lives Again, Q, The Stuff, Maniac Cop, Body Snatchers, Uncle Sam, and so many more. Steve Mitchell‘s documentary King Cohen, about the life and works of Larry Cohen, is approaching its release and we’ve gotten our hands on the first clip from the film. We sat down with Mr. Mitchell recently for an interview and discussed both King Cohen and his classic genre film Chopping Mall. Mitchell talked with such passion about the project and filled us in on the many interviews that we will see in the film. We have a pretty good cast. In no order of importance, we have Martin Scorsese, Michael Moriarty, who was an important person for us to find seeing he starred in five of Larry’s films, Fred Williamson, John Landis, J.J. Abrams does our intro, we’ve got Robert Forester, Tara Reid, Tracy Lawrence, production

A First Look At M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Glass’ (New Images)

New images from M. Night Shyamalan‘s Glass, the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split, have arrived via EW. In the first image, we see David Dunn (Bruce Willis), Endell Crumb (James McAvoy), and Elijah Price aka Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) sitting together in an asylum. Split and Unbreakable we tied together in the last moments of Split when Bruce Willis’ character makes a cameo and makes a reference to Mr. Glass. Split stars James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy who will also be returning for Glass. McAvoy plays a young man who has kidnapped Joy’s character. What makes his character so interesting is that he hosts dozens of personalities. “American Horror Story” actress Sarah Paulson also stars. Spencer Treat Clark and Luke Kirby co-star. In Unbreakable, security Guard David Dunn miraculously survives a catastrophic train crash outside Philadelphia. Not only is he the sole survivor out of 132 passengers, he also is completely unharmed. A little later, comic book specialist

William Gibson’s Never Filmed Alien 3 Script Getting Comic Adaptation

William Gibson‘s Alien 3 script may have never have reached the silver screen, but that won’t stop it from being unleashed on the world. The script is being adapted for a new comic book series. Gibson’s 1980 tale will be illustrated by “Angel Catbird” artist Johnnie Christmas with “Doom Patrol’s” Tamra Bonvillain providing the color. The action-packed comic is set after the events of Alien with Ripley, Bishop, Hicks, and Newt captured by a group called the Union of Progressive People and are whisked away to the space station Anchorpoint. Following the discovery of U.P.P Weyland Yutani are in an arms race to develop an army of bloodthirsty Xenomorphs and the station is overrun. In 1992 David Fincher made his directorial debut with his own version of Alien 3, written by Vincent Ward, which was not loved by critics or fans. In fact, Fincher has stated that no one hated the movie more than he did. The five-issue limited run,

‘Child’s Play’ Reboot To Be Extremely Different From What We Know And Love

For a moment we were kind of excited about the upcoming Child’s Play reboot from MGM, that is until we learned just how different the movie will be from what we know and love about the franchise, Brad Dourif, the longtime voice of Chucky, won’t be involved. That’s right, Chucky will be getting a new voice. The changes don’t stop there, allegedly, Chucky will no longer be a serial killer possessed doll, instead, he will be an out of control A.I., according to Bloody Disgusting. Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) has been tapped to direct the reboot based on the script penned by Kung Fury writer Burton Smith. While horror fans are pretty open-minded, I don’t think they’re that open minded. I’ll be honest, the movie might be more successful if they were to rename the bot and break ties to the franchise altogether. Luckily, we will see Universal continue the original franchise. There is currently a “Child’s Play” series in pre-production

Six Must See Films Premiering At The Fantasia Film Festival (2018)

There are a lot of film festivals taking place this summer but one of our favorites is the Fantasia Film Festival (July 12th to August 1st). Every year the number of amazing films making their world premiere grows. While there are a lot of fantastic films this year, we’ve picked six genre films that we think you really need to see. The Man Who Killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot Directed and written by Robert D.
