Netflix‘s upcoming series adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s”The Haunting of Hill House” has unveiled its first trailer, leaving us with the impression that it may be the scariest thing Netflix has ever delivered.
The ten-episode series was created and directed by Mike Flanagan who brought us Hush, Oculus, and Gerald’s Game and who is directing the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep.
“The Haunting of Hill House” stars Timothy Hutton, Carla Gugino, Victoria Pedretti, McKenna Grace, Michael Huisman, Henry Thomas, and Lulu Wilson.
The series “explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past, some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.”
“The Haunting of Hill House” premieres on Netflix October 12, 2018.
