“Haunting Of Hill House” Star Henry Thomas Joins The Cast Of The New ‘Pet Sematary” Movie

Following his success in Netflix’s “Haunting of Hill House” and “Haunting of Bly Manor,” Henry Thomas, who also stars in the upcoming “Midnight Mass” series, has now joined the cast of the new installment of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary franchise, from Paramount Players, Deadline reports. Samantha Mathis, who recently starred in the Blumhouse and Hulu’s horror anthology series “Into the Dark”, as well as Guillermo del Toro’s “The Strain” has also joined the cast alongside Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jack Mulhern, Isabella Star LeBlanc and Foxy Brown‘s Pam Grier. Production began last week on the new film, which is rumored to be a prequel. Lindsey Beer (Chaos Walking) is in the director’s chair. Beer wrote the newest draft of the script originally written by Jeff Buhler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing the still-untitled movie that will premiere exclusively on Paramount+.

Directors Announced For “The Haunting Of Bly Manor”

Ciarán Foy (Citadel, Sinister 2, Eli) is one of the directors who have come on board to direct several episodes of Netflix‘s “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” Mike Flanagan took to Twitter last night to announce some of the other directors who will be helming episodes. Flanagan tweeted, “I’m really excited to be collaborating with some of my favorite filmmakers on The Haunting of Bly Manor.” In addition to Foy, that list includes Yolanda Ramke, Ben Howling (Cargo), Liam Gavin (A Dark Song), and Axelle Carolyn (Tales of Halloween, “Grim Grinning Ghost”). Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti, Catherine Parker, and Henry Thomas will all be returning to play new characters in “Bly Manor.” They join new cast members T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve, Benjamin Ainsworth, and Amelie Smith. In fact, the streaming giant has just revealed the premiere date for their new genre series “The Haunting of Hill House” as well as the first batch of images. The new adaptation of Shirley Jackson‘s novel Hill House centers on a family in both modern day and in the past as they face ghosts both of their past and the kind that go bump in the night. Created, directed and executively produced by Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game, Oculus), the series stars Michael Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, and Henry Thomas. “The Haunting of Hill House” premieres on October 12, 2018.

Premiere Date Revealed For Netflix’s ‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ Series

We reported back in April that a series adaption of’ ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ had been ordered by Netflix. A few days ago we announced that Annabeth Gish has joined the cast. Today, we have another update and a premiere date. The adaption of Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel by the same name will see Mike Flanagan in the director’s chair. The 10-episode first season is being referred to as a “modern re-imagining” with Daryll frank and Justin Falvey will be executive producing. Timothy Hutton, Annabeth Gish, Selena Anduze, Amber Chaney, Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson, Anna Enger, Nelson Bonilla, McKenna Grace, Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, and Robert Longstreet will star. Huisman is set to play the role of Steven Crane. The trailer has arrived for Mike Flanagan’s adaption of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game for Netflix. It’s intense and twisted, to say the least. But what else would you expect from the same director that brought us Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Hush? Starring Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, and Henry Thomas, the film centers on a woman whose husband suddenly dies while she is handcuffed to their bed, leaving her unable to free herself. As time passes she realizes that rescue is an all but hopeless and begins to slip into insanity.
