Last October the fifth film in the ‘Tremors’ franchise, ‘Tremors V: Bloodlines‘, landed Burt (Michael Gross) in South Africa hunting graboids along with his new cameraman. [Spoiler]The cameraman turned out to be Burts’ son, played by Jamie Kennedy. You might have thought that would he been the end of it, but you would be wrong. Today, on Facebook Gross announced that ‘Tremors VI’ is on the way. Not many details were revealed but he did say that he, Kennedy and director Don Michael Paul will be returning for the sequel. There is no word yet if any of the other previous ‘Tremors’ stars will return for the sequel. Odds are, Kevin Bacon won’t make a cameo. He has his own ‘Tremors’ project in the works, ‘Tremors: The Series‘. Bacon will be returning to his roles as Valentine “Val” McKee, one half of the duo who fought the giant critters in the original 1990 cult classic. He will also be serving

One of the genre films I am most looking forward to in 2017 is Rock Paper Dead, from ‘Friday the 13th’ creator Victor Miller and co-writer Kerry Fleming (Opening Day). Genre legend Tom Holland, known for his classics ‘Fright Night’ and ‘Child’s Play’, is in the director’s chair. ‘Rock Paper Dead’ follows Peter Harris (Luke Macfralane), aka “The Doll Maker”, who returns to his ancestral estate after his release from the state asylum for the criminally insane. After 20 years inside the institution he has been deemed as “cured”. When Peter steps inside the old house memories of his tortured childhood and past victims come flooding back. It isn’t until Ashley enters his life that Peter makes a decision, one that rekindles old desires that have always ended in murder. Today, we have more casting news. We have learned exclusively that Quinton Aaron has joined that cast of ‘Rock Paper Dead’ to play the role of an orderly named Joe.

After months of speculation, teaser and ambiguous comments from the cast, director and writers of ‘American Horror Story’, we will finally learn Wednesday (9/14) what the official theme of season 6 is. Of course we are pretty sure it is ‘The Mist’, thanks to the description printed in TV Guide. As for the 25 teasers that have been released only one is real, according to showrunner Ryan Murphy, and only one is titled “The Mist”. There were leaked TMZ photos revealing a tree with the word “CROATOAN’ carved into it from the AHS set. “CROATOAN” is the only clue left in the real life mystery of 117 people’s disappearance in 1590 from Roanoke. We had the photo but were asked to take it down due to spoilers. We can however show you a piece of art from the 1590’s depicting the real event. You can learn more about the Roanoke mystery here. The question is, were the leaked photos part

Brace yourself, news has come that a remake of 1984’s ‘The Toxic Avenger’ is in the works. Conrad Vernon, co-director of ‘Sausage Party’, has now signed on to direct the new film. Mike Arnold and Chris Poole, known for their work on the animated series ‘Archer’, are writing the script, Deadline reports. The original film follows a New Jersey teen who accidentally tumbles into a vat of nuclear waste that turns him into a mutant superhero. The original was directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman who also co-wrote the fun film. ‘The Toxic Avenger’ spawned several sequels and a huge line of merchandise, as well as a comic and even a musical. From the reports, it sounds as if we not be getting only one new movie, but that this will be the first film of a new franchise. The reboot is being described as more “grounded” and “mainstream” than the campy B-horror original. ‘Toxic Avenger’ will be “reimagined”
