Since I first heard that AMC had ordered the pilot for ‘Preacher‘, the adaption of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s fantastic comic book by the same name, I’ve wondered how AMC would get around some of the controversial content. The biggest concern is the comic’s not so pleasant references to God. I guess they are willing to deal with any drama from fans or groups because AMC has gone ahead and ordered the first season of ‘Preacher’, consisting of ten episodes. The series is set to premier in mid 2016. For those who are not familiar with the comics, let me explain. ‘Preacher’ follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into preaching by his effing insane family. Jesse, after being possessed by Genesis, sets out to find God. He is accompanied by his ex girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a vampire. Genesis, an entity that is half angel

The sixth season is quickly approaching (October 11) and Nicotero has made statements that because of the increasing amount of the walker’s decomposition the team will be using less detailed makeup and more CGI. Greg Nicotero with a friend Nicotero had this to say to THR on the subject “We’re doing a few things we haven’t done before, which is digital augmentation of walkers. We’re moving noses and putting a cavity there. Taking the area underneath the ribcage and shrinking it down. Kind of Bernie Wrightson style. That stuff is what makes it more exciting because it gives us more opportunities.” He continues “Scott Has one very specific thing he is conscious of, which is it can’t

It’s very delicate; almost childish,” Guadagnino continued “I have a very strong interest in German literature and film, so I think [my] ‘Suspiria’ will have to focus very strongly on that moment in history, in 1977, when Germany was divided and a new generation was claiming and asking to recognize the debt of guilt that forged the new Germany after the war against the fathers who wanted to deny the responsibility.” ‘Suspiria’ follows a young woman attending an exclusive ballet school. A couple of months ago we reported that Wesley Snipes has been talking with Marvel about reprising his role as the badass vampire slayer Blade. Now news has come that John Ridley has been hired to bring a new hero to life for a show on ABC. According to Bleeding Cool, a series based on Blade’s daughter Fallon Grey is Ridley’s new project. Word is Marvel also wants to develop a movie on Blade and Fallon Grey. There is no word to who they are looking to cast in the movie as Fallon, but let’s hope that Snipes will be back for his role. I think it would be a huge mistake to cast anyone else as Blade. I would love to see Blade and his daughter together in action. Marvel has also announced a new comic book series that will revolve around Fallon. So far there has been no date announced for either the series or the film.
