In 1960 Janet Leigh starred as Marion Crane in the original ‘Psycho’, the story of a woman who stole $40,000 from her employer. While fleeing she stumbled onto a road side motel, where she decided to stop. She did not know at the time that the man who owns the motel, Norman Bates, is psycho. Her character in ‘Psycho’ was well written and her acting amazing. She went down in horror history for not only her role but also for being the first woman in an on screen “shower scene”. Today I stumbled across the short film titled ‘The Grey Matter’, the best way I can describe it is strange , but very cool and extremely well done. The eighteen minute film begins with a man named Simon, laying in an alley. After waking up and returning home Simon discovers a big hole in the back of his head. Not thinking much about it, he bandages it and heads off to his dead end job. Life is about to get strange and complicated for Simon. ‘The Grey Matter’ comes from a talented duo, the McCoubrey Brothers. Pete McCoubrey wrote the screenplay and he and his brother Luke McCoubrey directed the film together. The McCoubrey brothers have been involved with movies such as ‘An American Werewolf in London’ and ‘Return of the Living Dead’. ‘The Grey Matter’ stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the soft spoken Simon Peterson. Bachrach also had roles in ‘The Last Ship’ TV series and ‘Come Out And Play’

Teacher Sheila Kearns An Ohio teacher named Sheila Kearns could be facing jail time for showing classes the 2012 horror movie ‘ABC’s Of Death’. The 58 year old substitute teacher will stand trail on five felony charges of “disseminating matter harmful to juveniles”. The teacher showed five Spanish classes, who’s students’ ages ranged from 14-18, the film. She was caught by the principle and then claimed to be unaware of it’s content. Her argument was that she does not speak Spanish herself. Each charge could earn Kearns a year of jail time and a fine of up to $2,500. She has since been terminated by the Board of Education.
