Movie Review : Final Prayer (2014)

A team, sent by the Vatican, arrives in a small town to authenticate, or dispel, the supernatural activity claims of a church. As the three men begin their investigation into the events things quickly go from bad to worse. What the team discovers is bigger than they could ever have imagined. ‘Final Prayer’ stars Gordon Kennedy (Red Faction:Origins) as Deacon, the veteran investigator. Aiden McArdle (Me and Orson Welles) plays Mark, the new tech guy. Father Gray, the priest in charge, is played by Robin Hill (Kill List). ‘Final Prayer’ was written and directed Elliot Goldner. ‘Final Prayer’ accomplished what most movies can’t, spooking me. The movie was well executed, the effects were simple yet effective and the twist at the end is something we haven’t seen before. ‘Final Prayer’ was surprising, which is rare these days. I actually caught my self hiding my face behind my dog a time or two. I haven’t experienced that feeling in a long

Graffiti Artist JPS Leaves His Mark On The World

Some people see graffiti as nothing more than low brow, illegal, acts of vandalism on the walls of buildings, however there are many who see it as form of self expression. I belong to the later, I see graffiti as works of art. There are few graffiti artists as good as the artist simply known as JPS. When walking the streets of the U.K., you are likely to come across one of JPS’ masterpieces. His pieces frequently include figures from horror movies, while others contain humor and puns and musicians, such as Eminem and Notorious B.I.G. or cartoons. His canvas ranges from walls, rocks, signs, pretty much anything he can paint. JPS also now sells small pieces on Ebay. JPS is quoted as saying “…just trying to leave my mark on the world” and man has he ever. He’s earned quite a following. His artwork is even showing up in the background of commercials, like the one in the commercial

Women In Horror Month: Cassandra Peterson, Elvira ‘Mistress Of The Dark’

Late one night when I was twelve and up past curfew, I was channel surfing when I found reruns of this cheesy horror movie (I was already a horror addict by that point), suddenly this divine creature in a skin tight black dress came across the screen, Elvira, I was fascinated. Over the years my girl crush on Elvira never faded, after all she is the “Mistress Of The Dark”. Elvira brought the greatness out of bad horror movies with her one of a kind narration. Everyone knows the name Elvira and between her show, her movies, her photos in magazines, you’ve had to see her at some point. The lady is hard miss. Her larger than life personality, her outrageous sense of humor and great looks have made her a legend. How much do you know about the women behind the spunky character? Elvira’s real name is Cassandra Peterson. Cassandra was born in Manhattan, Kansas and raised in Colorado

Movie Review : ‘V/H/S : Viral’ (2014)

‘V/H/S Viral’ is an anthology that follows a disturbing chain of events connected by a series of viral videos. The videos consist of the stories connected to a stolen ice cream truck. The found footage shorts were each directed by different directors. The movie opens with ‘Vicious Circles’ by director Marcel Sarmiento. A young man (Kelly Misek Jr.), obsessed with capturing a viral video encounters a stolen ice cream truck in a high speed chase with the police. While filming his girlfriend (Emilia Ares Zoryan) is kidnapped by who ever is in the truck. Gregg Bishop’s section titled ‘Dante the Great’ follows Dante, a magician (Justin Welborn) who has a truly magical cape, that sometimes takes on a life of it’s own, and his assistant (Emmy Argo). This may have been the only section of the film that I actually found half way entertaining. In ‘Parallel Monsters’ directed by Nacho Vigalondo, a man creates a portal to another dimension and
