In ‘It Follows’ Jay (Maika Monroe) makes the mistake of sleeping with the wrong guy and as a result she has contracted a supernatural STD, of sorts. Now Jay along with her friends must find away to break the cycle and save her life from the entity that stalks her day and night.
So, is ‘It Follows’ as great as everyone says it is? The answer is yes. Writer-director David Robert Mitchell scored a home run with this brilliant horror film. The film delivers a new concept, unlike recycled ideas behind the majority of horror movies we see these days. One thing I really liked about the film is that Mitchell doesn’t rely on the heavy use of “jump scares”, a cheap, over used trick of filmmakers where a sudden noise is used to scare the audience. ‘It Follows’ creates a great viewing experience for both novice and veteran horror fans.
