There are few horror movie that can get under my skin, one is 2008’s Deadgirl that had me struggling to watch it all the way through. It left me in shock, and frankly, sick to my stomach, asking “What the fuck did I just watch?” It is by far the most disturbing zombie film that you will probably ever see. To mark the anniversary of Deadgirl‘s premiere, Unearthed Films is releasing a special 15th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition of directors Gadi Harel and Marcel Sarmiento’s controversial film. In the film, “When high school outcasts Rickie and JT find a naked dead girl chained to a table in an abandoned building, they do not expect her to be the living undead. The boys find themselves lured into a dark and twisted journey that will test the limits of both. Prime Video has now released the time-traveling slasher Totally Killer. I watched it, and I have some thoughts about the movie, directed by Nahnatchka Khan (Always Be My Maybe, “Young Rock”) and starring Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” ). Totally Killer follows Jamie (Shipka), whose mom, Pam (Bowen), is terrorized by the resurgence of the Sweet Sixteen Killer—a masked maniac who slaughtered a group of teenage girls in the ‘80s. With the help of her friend Amelia (Kelcey Mawema), she travels back in time to 1987 and teams up with the teen version of her mom (Holt) to try and stop the killer. Equal parts horror and comedy, the movie sets out to capture the unique charm of the 1980s. And as someone who was there, I can definitely say they nailed it. It was a time when social sensitivity was lacking; there was no such thing as getting “triggered,” and nobody cared if you chained-smoked in the car

Now I’m brave or crazy enough or something, and we’re gonna tackle it. It’s Oscar Isaac, Andrew Garfield, Christoph Waltz, Mia Goth, and we’re working on it.” Oscar
